Key Manager Responsibilities

·     Partner with team leaders to learn PSP standards and daily routines to ensure pet center is adhering to the cleanliness, animal care, cash handling, and safety and security standards established by the Pet Supplies Plus Handbook

·     Assists Team Leaders with training, providing clear and timely coaching, reinforcing neighborly behavior, and serving as a role model 

·     Assists in communicating team results, delegating tasks and communicating opportunities to improve neighbor engagement and Team Member performance to Team Leader

·     Learns and performs back office procedures to comply with standards and expectations, including making signage, updating price changes, and inputting cashier records

·     Performs register-related management functions in the absence of Team Leaders or other duties assigned by the Team Leader

·     Leads team through proper opening or closing procedures 

·     Assist Team Leader in building community partnerships, events and marketing opportunities

·     Work well within a proven system and be willing to change when areas for improvement arise

·     Helps with recruiting by reviewing applications and participating in interviews

Key Manager Responsibilities

•       2+ years of retail experience with interest in leadership roles

•       Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) 

•       Solid communication skills with the ability to motive and lead others

•       Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment, while managing multiple tasks

•       Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy

•       Excellent sales and follow-up skills and customer service orientation

•       Have reliable transportation to pet center

•       Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed

•       To be 18 years or older
